Good morning bloggers,
A 100% chance of rain is in the forecast for Sunday and we need a good soaking. Take a look at these numbers:
Last year was very wet in November, but so far it has continued to be dry this November. This may be about to change on Sunday as a cold front slices through some pretty good low level moisture surging north from the Gulf of Mexico. It is going to rain, but how much? Right now I think there is a nearly 100% chance of at least .10″, with an inch or more still possible from this system. We will have in-depth weathercasts on 41 Action News tonight with our updated rainfall forecast. The latest GFS and NAM models were wetter with the window of opportunity for precipitation opening up a bit more to around four to six hours of rain. At the tail end of the precipitation there may be a few snowflakes.
- Today: Breezy and warmer with a high of 75°
- Tonight: A bit windy and mild with a low of 61°
- Saturday: Increasing clouds & windy, but most likely staying dry with a high near 75° again
- Sunday: A 100% chance of rain with a few thunderstorms likely in the area. Heavy rain is possible with temperatures crashing from the 60s into the 30s. There is a chance of some light snow at the end of the precipitation with no accumulation expected.
Thank you for spending a few minutes reading the Action Weather Blog. We will keep you updated over the weekend.
