Today’s rainfall: not bad for these “Dry Times”

Good Afternoon Bloggers.

Sure is brisk, right?  It’s 30° at 3pm at KCI and I’m analyzing how cold temperatures will get by tomorrow morning.

Here it is…the grand total rainfall map:

From this map, 1.0-1.5″ is the general spread of rainfall amounts across the metro.  But there are quite a few individuals who have reported a little more than this…some approaching 2″.  Nonetheless, even though some events were cancelled on this Veterans Day, the rainfall is much appreciated.  The sleet that peppered in for some of us, not so much.  Winter’s coming…

Stay safe.  Gary will have another write-up tomorrow morning.

As of noon, 1.4 inches of rain in Cameron, plus light dusting of sleet/other on grass and above-ground surfaces.
Rain gauge had skim of ice forming in reservoir (1″ glass) at that time.

Rain started at 7:00 a.m and rained steady and hard at times till 2:00 P.M. Had sleet and light snow till 4:00 P.M. Temp was 60 at 6:00 a.m and is 29 now 7:00 p.m. All I can say is this is my type of weather, just need more!!!! T.R

Had 1.64 inches of rain in Louisburg, KS. Nice to finally see a weather event exceed expectations around here. Hoping for some more excitement soon…
