Good morning bloggers,
Showers and thunderstorms are moving across this morning, a few have been heavy. Let us know how much rain you get later this morning. As we were moving into the 7 AM hour a rather organized area of rain with embedded thunderstorms was moving in. This is the most organized area of rain that I have seen in months.
After this rain moves through a warm front will be approaching and pass through by Wednesday morning. A big warm-up to 90 degrees is likely tomorrow. The next cold front will move through Thursday night and conditions seem very favorable for wider spread and heavier rainfall by Friday morning. And, then it will dry out for the Plaza Art Fair.
Today is Meteorologist Brett Anthony’s last day at KSHB. He has always wanted to be a Chief Meteorologist and he has accepted the Chief job at our sister station in Tulsa, OK. He will begin their next week and today is his last day here. He has been a team member for over ten years now. He is such a great friend, father, and just an overall great guy. He has been a big part of our community and we will miss him tremendously. Please wish Brett good luck and we will be staying in touch as storm systems track between Kansas City and Tulsa.
Have a great start to your day and thank you for spending a few minutes reading the Action Weather blog.
