Good Saturday morning bloggers,
The weather today will be fantastic with highs in the upper 70s and just areas of high clouds. We are starting with refreshing temperatures in the 50s, much better than the upper 90s.
The weather looks very nice today for the Missouri Classic out at Arrowhead. Lincoln University vs Grambling State
Now on Sunday there is a bigger game out at Arrowhead as the Dallas Cowboys roll into town. There is a cold front and chance for rain Sunday into Monday, but most likely it will be dry until after the game. See the maps below as we take you through the Sunday forecast.
SUNDAY 7 AM: It will be dry with lots of clouds and temperatures in the 60s
SUNDAY NOON: This covers the tailgating to kickoff time frame. The chance of rain increases from 0% to 20% as temperatures warm to the low 80s. So, basically it looks pretty good.
SUNDAY 5 PM: This covers the game itself. The chance of rain between noon and 5 PM is about 20% to 30%. So, we expect the weather during the game to be mostly cloudy and warm with highs 80° to 85°. The chance for rain is low, but notice there are showers and a few thunderstorms beginning to form in northern Missouri.
SUNDAY 11 PM: This is when the chance for rain jumps to 50%. The main front will be moving through as a weak system tracks east from the western Plains. It is no secret that we need the rain, so lets hope this comes through.
So, we do have rain in the forecast, but how much? There is still plenty of time to seed and feed your lawn. It would be nice to keep the sprinklers off. See the map below for our rainfall forecast.
Our forecast is for .05″ to .55″. If you receive closer to the .55″ then this is perfect for the fertilizer to wash in. If you receive closer to .05″ then the fertilizer will need to be watered in. As far as the grass seed, well this is not enough rain, so sprinklers would still be needed unless we get real lucky and receive 1″. There are 1-2 more rain chances next week, but they are not expected to be widespread and the chances are just 20%.
Have a great weekend!
