Good Morning Bloggers!
Well, the front is currently stalled just to the north of the metro and it isn’t going to push through of course, so we will be for the most part hot and humid today.
We do have a few showers and thunderstorms off to our east just near Moberly and north of St. Louis as of about 6:30 a.m.
We are going to watch to see if any develops a little farther to the west. I think at best we will see an isolated storm or two later this afternoon, but overall dry, but we will watch this throughout the day.
Otherwise near triple digit heat for southwest of the metro and middle to upper 90s for the metro area today. The moisture around the front will make it feel steamy out there, so heat indices will be in the triple digits. Make sure you are safe and taking care of yourself outside.
The front will start to lift northward as a warm front early tomorrow morning and then a cold front will sweep through here toward the end of next week and this will drop our temperatures into the 80s. We could see a few showers and thunderstorms out of this, but not looking too impressive right now.
Have a great Sunday!
