Large Plains Storm

Good Saturday,

Our weather this weekend will be dominated by a huge storm system tracking from the southwest USA to Great Lakes.  There will be flooding, severe weather and snow with this storm.  KC seems to be in the more tame part with just periods of rain and thunderstorms (heavy at times), not severe and no snow.  We may see 2-3″ of rain, but our flooding threat is reduced as it will be spread out over many hours.  That, being said, keep an eye on low spots, rivers and streams.  if you see high water. “TURN AROUND DON’T DROWN.”

We may see a break in the rain this afternoon or tonight after 9-10 PM, but mostly it is wet through Sunday morning with scattered showers into the afternoon.  Temperatures will mostly be in the 40s to near 50°.

Have a great weekend,
