Good Friday evening bloggers,
Gary is working Sunday night so I am filling in for him at 10 PM tonight and the forecast remains a challenge for Saturday. The new data is rolling in and more strongly suggesting that we could see snow Saturday afternoon and evening with a dusting-2″ possible. The window of opportunity for the snow would be 3-10 PM. The accumulating snow may last no more than 2 hours during that window. We will know more tomorrow, but it is a small, fast-moving system, almost like trying to find a “needle in a haystack”. So, this forecast may change quickly up until the last minute.
Below are the 2 scenarios we have been looking at. Meteorologically, it is a small difference, to us, it is a major difference.
SCENARIO #1: Earlier data.
SCENARIO #2: Latest data
#1 stil may be right, so we will see what it looks like early Saturday.
Have a good night and the cold front is 2-3 hours away!

Great! Jeff please make it happen! I am signed on with snow terminators!
0z GFS also looking better for snow (going from flurries to about 1″), although it either doesn’t have the banding shown by the short range models or is too coarse to show it at this point.
