Good morning bloggers,
I am here this morning working for Kalee, who will be here at 5 PM, and Jeff, who will be here after the game tonight. It continues to be a struggle to get it to rain in any organized manner in our area, and so far this morning there is no exception to this summer weather rule that someone placed upon us. Last night some of the data had us getting blasted by thunderstorms today during the Chiefs game, but I tried to explain last night that most of the summer these chances only end up producing sprinkles. Will today change this unwritten rule, or will thunderstorms get organized near an advancing cold front that is now moving into the viewing area this morning?
A few clouds were developing as the sun was rising this morning and thunderstorms were up near the Iowa border. As the front moves south we will have a chance of thunderstorms during the day, but by this evening the potential will increase.
The thunderstorms, early this morning, are producing some heavy rain in spots that need it bad, but again, nothing is organized at the moment. I will go over the details on 41 Action News beginning at 8 AM. I will be heading out to the game after that, but on Sports Radio 810 AM around 10 AM with a live update. Let’s hope it stays dry for the game and the Chiefs get a big win! And, who saw that ending to the Royals game last night. They are in a must-win situation today.
