A Small Sunday Storm System

Good Sunday morning bloggers,

We had a nice area of rain and thunderstorms move across the area early this morning.  It came from central Kansas and Nebraska.  This area is moving east and weakening.  However, it is tied to a small storm system in southern Nebraska.  This small system will be tracking southeast into western Missouri by the end of the day.  So, we are looking at a cloudy day with temperatures mostly in the 70s.  There will be new scattered showers, sprinkles and a few thunderstorms around until this system moves by.  It appears there will not be a new organized area of rain, but we will watch it.

Here is a weather time line for the rest of today.

After this storm system exits tonight, the winds will switch to the north, which will usher in drier air.  So, by Tuesday and Wednesday highs will be in the low 80s with lows in the 50s and plenty of sunshine.

Have a great day and week ahead

Jeff

Drought Miser reporting live from the Rain Forest previously known as Merriam Ks,
Picked up around 3/4 of an inch here of really welcome rainfall!! In a month that should bring weeks of no mowing, the mowers will be back at it again!! Once again looking forward to Mower mike’s totals!!

Thank you Jeff ! I really like your blogs and your on air presentations. You are the real deal. No pretense on air, and short -to-the-point blogs.

Was awakened around 5 am with bug booms, lightning and rain here in central Olathe. This summer has been awesome ! I realize the new LRC will look nothing like the old one, so I am hoping the new one gives us a warmer winter than last year.

Packin my bags for stanley north dakota and while loading my truck I noticed a dead tree/shrub. Upon further investigation, I found bag worms had taken over. Anyone have any suggestions. I know they make an pesticide. Just curious if anyone had first hand knowledge or experience with these.
