Few more overnight t-storms for KC, but severe weather moves onward

Severe Thunderstorm Watch This Evening

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch which does include the KC metro area.  Thunderstorms are developing, but in the cooler more stabilized air from the earlier thunderstorms. T-Storms with very heavy rain!

Below are the estimates for rainfall through 11am:

…And it was still raining as I posted this image.  An areal flood advisory was posted for KC with these heavy rainfall totals and isolated heavy rainfall totals.  We had reports of a water rescue near our station.
